Improvements featured in the Nintendo DSi
The new Nintendo DSi console features several upgrades over its predecessors. It has slightly larger and brighter screens, and it contains two motion sensing cameras. The new screens are 3.25 inches (vs. the 3″ screens on the DS Lite). The audio, which consists of a microphone and built-in speakers, has also been improved – with a set of headphones the DSi can easily be used as a personal music player. The Gameboy Advance slot has been replaced with an SD card slot for memory expansion. Add a faster processor and squeeze it all into a slimmer case, and you have the Nintendo DSi.
Nintendo Points and DSiWare
DSiWare refers to Nintendo’s online store for DS software. From here, you can easily download games and applications for your new DSi console. In keeping with this, what was formerly known as Wii Points have been renamed Nintendo Points, and they can be spent on either Wii or DSi games and applications.
Tracking DSi Availablility
Several years ago an online locator for stores that had Wii gaming consoles in stock was created to help people locate this difficult-to-find item. As well as tracking stock for other Nintendo products such as Wii Fit, the website now also has resources dedicated to tracking stock for Nintendo DS and DSi consoles. These handheld consoles can be particularly hard to find, especially if you are looking for a specific color, or if the Christmas season is approaching.
