Arriving on March 28, 2010, the latest addition to the Nintendo DS family offers a significantly larger screen and comes pre-loaded with three games!

Pictured here is the Burgundy model — it will also be available in a color they are calling Bronze, which appears black on all the photos I’ve seen. This fourth version of the wildly popular DS gaming device, the DSi XL keeps all the functionality of the DSi, including dual digital cameras, touch screen controls, a wireless web browser, DS memory card expansion, a game download system, and more, and also includes exclusive new features. Among them are:

• Two 93% larger 4.2 inch LCD screens
• A unique larger stylus
• Three bundled games and applications
• The initial release new color schemes

Good news for owners of any existing DS equipment — the DSi XL is backwards compatible with all previous game cards. It’s also a true wireless powerhouse, with a built-in DSi Internet browser and a wireless range of 30 to 100 feet, allowing multiple users to play games locally or over the Internet.
