If you are the owner of a Nintendo DS (or DS Lite or DSi),  you know that it has a fairly rugged design and it’s pretty tolerant to many types of hazards. However, as with all electronic equipment, it’s not very happy about being dropped. Furthermore, surface scratches can ruin its sleek look… so if you want to keep your DS safe and looking cool, you need to get your hands on a case for it.

Cases and protectors for a Nintendo DS are quite affordable, and can be purchased online or in your favorite video game store. They come in a variety of designs and colors, so you are sure to find one that suits your preferences.

My personal favorite is the Airfoam Eva case pictured in this post. It is padded on the inside and has pocket slots on the interior to store games, and extra stylus, and other goodies. However, there are a wide variety of other cases available from which to choose.

I recommend that you at least begin your search online at one of the large e-stores like Amazon.com, Buy.com, or BestBuy.com. There you can quickly and easily search what’s available and check out customer reviews to see whether or not other purchasers are happy with their decision. From there, you can either go ahead and make your purchase online, or head out to your local retailer to see if they carry one you like.
